ABOUT US
Opened in the spring of 1997, this popular facility is used by both internal groups and a host of professional groups including the Portland Symphony Orchestra. Local events include numerous dance recitals, State political debates, and concerts including:
Home Free, Casadee Pope, John Tesh, Leo Kottke, Rickie Lee Jones, JoDee Messina, Blake Shelton, Brett Michaels, Shawn Colvin, Patty Griffin, David Bromberg and The Angel Band, Hot Tuna, Andrew Bird, and Brandi Carlile.
The Maine Judicial Supreme Court, The Air Force Band of Liberty, The US Navy Sea Chanters, US Navy Pops Band The US Army Jazz Ambassadors, and the USAF Airmen of Note
We have hosted the WPOR Jingle Jam, and the Portland Ovations family series.
The South Portland Auditorium is located on the campus of South Portland High School at 637 Highland Avenue, South Portland, Maine, just minutes from downtown Portland.
The auditorium is wheelchair accessible, incorporating ramps, an elevator, and movable arm rests. Personal listening devices are also availabe. This air conditioned facility features a 790-seat Proscenium thrust theater, two dressing rooms, Box Office, large lobby area, and ample free parking.
